The number one must have coil is the 4.7 by 5. 2 Double D that I call an 'OOR'

Coil for its slightly Out-Of-Round shape.

I keep that coil mounted full time because it works wonderful in the nastiest of dense iron nails and other debris. It is almost unmatched for its unmasking capability.

The other coil to have, and the one that I keep mounted full time on my second FORS CoRe, is the 5 by 9 1/2 Double D open frame coil. It works really well in low to medium trash and is the search coil I use for just about all other applications when it is not dense trash contamination.

I don't believe I have any spare lower rods but I will look in my accessory tote when I get back from the 12th WTHO sometime next week. I do believe I'm might have one extra brand new 'OOR' Double D in the tote and I will check for that as well.

That is one of the best detectors to own and is very well balanced no, not to mention one of the most efficient for tackling iron contaminated sites. Put in the time to learn it well and I'm sure you will appreciate owning one.
