My friend has the current Pro, its one of his favorites. He likes it better than the Simplex or Equinox. He's a retired electronics engineer and has detected for the past 40 years. He has about 10 detectors in his herd now. Very popular in Europe.
Price wise is my issue, over priced. The Simplex is better performance wise and less cost than the Q40. The Multi-Kruzer again better than the Pro for the money spent. The Q40 and Pro has the ergonomics in feel, balance and weight over most other detectors.
If you knew how much it cost Quest to make a detector in China compared to the selling price, you would see why they don't need US customers. They are making a killer profit. I won't say, it would upset many. They could have taken over the market and made a ton of profit even if sold at half the price they currently charge. They cheapened things up with the newer models and now have crummy handles. They still have a Fisher/Tek/BH nuance to them, you can sense it when you use one.

I dig it with a Nokta/Makro product.
