1.. That terrible, way-rear rod-mount location wasn't so visibly ugly and the coil wasn't prone to being bumped out of a proper 'flat' orientation with the ground.
2.. The 6" DD coil performs well in the extremely iron-contaminated Relic Hunting sites I enjoy working.
3.. The Legend's circuitry, combined with the 6" DD, can match or better the performance I can achieve in those tough sites with a small-coil equipped FORS CoRe or Relic, or an original Racer or Racer 2, or any other serious performing device I use.
4.. The Legend isn't an overy cluttered bunch of adjustments that are frustrating to deal with, and all, or most, of my settings are saved at start-up.
As it is now, with
my Fisher F75+, Garrett Apex, and Nokta FORS CoRe, when I turn them Off and back On after lunch, for example, they start up in the mode and settings I was using **
and that includes the last used Ground Balance with the F75+ and Apex or my saved GB in the CoRe ** so I do not need to re-GB at start-up.
Some good news is an open-frame 5X9.5 DD, but I really want to see a 7" Concentric coil, or I'll just be satisfied with a Selectable Single-Frequency Impact. It, like the CoRe, Relic, and Racer models, has a very good sounding audio. If The Legend also has a good, clean audio and it isn't too 'digitized-soubding', then that would also be good.
