The Legend should have just been made to work well and offered as a new model at an affordable price .... BUT ....

•• It was promoted as a new SMF to compete with the well known popular competitor ... aka the Minelab Equinox 800.

•• The EQ 800's price went to $999.,95 and the Legend came out for much less and it worked OK for a lot of people. ... THEN

•• Update to 1.06 to 'fix' whatever folks complained about because it wasn't like the EQ 800. ... THEN

•• Update 1.07 to 'fix' something and add Iron Bias or whatever N/M calls it, and maybe take care of some other things. ... THEN

•• Update 1.08 was sent out to 'testers' around the globe because 1.07 had some problems. Ver. 1.08 was supposed to be checked to take care of the problems so the Legend worked fine. ... THEN

•• Ver. 1.08 was released and many people had issues trying to load the update. Then there were glitches of different reports from many who did finally update their Legend, ... SOOO

•• Dilek announced there will be a Ver. 1.09 Update that will be 'tested' and then they are going to make a new Update and that one will be available to ANY Legend customer so they can all use it and evaluate it and report back to Nokta / Makro what they found and what might need attention relying on comments from Consumers all around the globe. ... THEN

•• There will be another new Update that will maybe take cate of anything that is now goofy or might be goofy in the next attempt, and she also closed her video comments saying 'future updates'.

I think they really messed up by going after and trying to copy or duplicate a particular model and now they have been, are, and will be trying to make this one new model satisfactory for many consumers. So if you have a Legend, hang in there for the ride. Maybe they will get it right.

For those of us with a Nokta FORS CoRe or FORS Relic, no sweat. They are solid, reliable, dependable, work well, and never any update stuff. Just change 4 AA's and keep on going.
