Yes, Nokta/Makro missed the boat by not producing a 5" and 7" coil for the Simplex!
They compromised with the Legend giving us a 6" coil. Still would have liked a 7" instead.
As for updates, sticking with orig. v1.08 which is no longer on their website. It is now called v1.09.
There's an attempt here to create a Legend that is perfect for everyone needs. I hate to be the programmer writing code.
The only thing that bothers me is having new features and settings that now need multiple buttons to be pressed at the same time
to access different settings to make adjustments.
The 6" for the Legend is okay, but it should have had the rod-mount ears toward the center.
They created the Simplex + and a really good market for that detector, now they need to make a 5" DD and 7" Concentric for it.
There is no 'perfect' detector and never will be so they are not going to make the Legend be it. Way too many updates, glitches, and like you said, a lot of excess button-pushing.
