No fussing around with settings as your CoRe will arrive with all the needed settings for each mode. It is basically a "turn-on-and-go" type of sophisticated detector, all set to turn-On in the 3-Tone mode that is 'just right' for most applications. Naturally it has the quick-access 2-Tone mode that I like to use in sites with a lot of Iron Nails and other wire-iron debris.
Not a lot to learn other than turn it On and then work that nifty coil slowly and methodically in and around brush, building rubble and debris to find good suff.
