Re: Might be purchasing a Classic ID soon

I dont personally own a Classic ID but i do own a mint condition IDX Pro which are basically the same machines,i do own a 5.3 coil as well as the stock 950,if i am honest i prefer the 950 which does work exceptionally well on trashy roman/saxon sites.

Waste of time looking at the icons on the screen as they are all US ones, use it solely as a audio only machine, even with minimum discrimination it still knocks out most nails including roman hob nails that can be found in crazy amounts that have fallen of roman shoes/sandals.

Just love using this detector,i do have the bits for changing over to Mr Bills modifications but just never seen the need to do it thus far,but the vital thing when using this detector is swinging it slow, this is vitally important other wise you will miss targets. But when you get a decent target under the coil it will then spring into life and alert you,and it never stops amazing me how good this detector is although mine is 20 years old,it still performs on par with many of my other more modern machines.I do have a substantial amount of detector and a stupid crazy amount of coils for them, most folks comment why do i have a alot of detectors and coils,no one detector/coil combination does it all,so most of them are site specific use machines.

But the older Whites analogue machines really are superb and give me a tremendous amount of pleasure.

Deus and Nexus MP.

DFX,IDX Pro,TDI Pro,Crossbow Pulse,Mirage Pulse,Fisher TW-5 twin box,UK Vaquero,Arado 120b,Nexus SE mainly site specific use machines.

Every hole is like a scratch card. Usually it’s nothing. Sometimes you win a prize.

Cindy, a good Tesoro-built model should not be overlooked.

I agree about the "2nd effort" of Troy Custom Detectors.
