Bullseye 5.3 -

February 05, 2019 03:33PM
Monte,

Thanks for the vote of confidence in the Bullseye 5.3. thumbs up I had a similar coil on my MXT (the 5.3 eclipse) and found myself using it much of the time; a very handy search coil. UNFORTUNATELY, it was part of the deal when I sold it back in 2017. Wishing I still had the 5.3 as I acquired another MXT this last year and I only have the stock 10" D2 coil. Despite the size of the 10" D2 coil, I had good luck using it on the previous MXT.

I have a couple coils I'd like to pick up for this year, just have to make sure I keep all this detecting stuff out from underfoot at home. grinning smiley

... using more of this → $$$$$.

While you were making your post yesterday I was busy doing some side-by-side testing (indoors due to lightning, thunder, big hail and heavy rain) with another new Fisher F44 and a new, smaller size 4" Concentric coil. Gregg stopped by to discuss a 'project' detector, bring an old White's Electronics 6000 Di Series 3 (factory Hip Mount version thumbs up) I had him order for me, and when he arrived so did the FedEx guy with my new Fisher F44 and extra search coils, rod and hardware.

Fortunately, some of my $$$ for acquiring a few new detectors and search coils is coming from selling or trading some of my excess Detector Outfit, like the XLT that headed north to Drew in Canada, and a few of the duplicate models I have. It is an enjoyable way to pass the time during the shut-in of winter, but it won't last long. Spring is coming in a matter of a few weeks and we can all get out and get some detecting-time exercise.

PS: Every XLT needs a good 6½" Concentric coil on the operating end. You, and your XLT, are going to enjoy the new coil you have coming.

Sitting around waiting for good weather can get expensive.
