Bigfoot coil on VX3/V3I

The Bigfoot 'XLT' coil is designed for the 6.59kHz detectors. If I remember correctly, there is a small black box on the search coil cable near the connector that can be opened exposing a pair of jumpers that can be changed to adapt to the older blue box era detectors that were typically sold with the fat 8" coils or the newer black box detectors that were sold with the newer pancake style 950 coils.

I don't recall reading of anybody converting one for use on a V-rated White's V3i or VX3. Zincoln uses a V3i and may have an opinion of your endeavor. I find it common to read of those using a Bigfoot coil acquiring a detector specifically to run that coil for the benefits of covering large sports fields. The Used detector market is soft and excellent detectors can be purchased for very reasonable prices.

Good luck with your project.

Surprised to read of that Bigfoot working on a 'Spectra' series model.
