maybe they gotta charge "tall money" for their detectors because they need to hire top shelf engineers!.

.they may be "not" be convinced "multi-freak" is the way to go,and their ''skunk works" is revolving around another engineering design.
i do believe they will bring something to market fairly soon!

(h.h.!)
j.t.

Two points of interest:

1... "They need to hire top shelf engineers" you state and that makes one wonder, just WHO IS their current 'engineer' for them to need to hire someone else?

2.. They already have a Multi-Freq. par of detectors and had the DFX before that. If a Multi-Freq. isn't needed, and I don't think it is, just what are they going to try for another engineering design? They made and MX Sport and rushed it to market with all sorts of problems and that created a bad image. They did finally get things fixed and made a good decision to offer that circuitry in a well-designed land-based MX-7.

Their lower-end is useless, their upper-end, from the MXT Pro on up is over-priced and lack many current functions. What might they be working on, and WHO might be working on that design.

Here's a challenge. Contact White's and ask who their Lead Engineer is and who two other design engines are?

If you get names, then ask How many design engineers have been with them for 5 years or more, or 10-years ort more. Not repair techs but actual design engineers?

How about this: Who 'designed' the Treasure Pro, the MX Sport and MX-7, the MX-5 and the V3i? Are any of those 'engineers' still working at White's, and if so, who are they?

Those answers ought to give folks a clue of the state of affairs at White's. I know I can't think of who they might be who are still working at White's.

My gut feeling (based on nothing really) is that White’s will be around for some time to come  N/T
