Making memories in Lonesome Arch was a good start.

Four years ago this coming August, using a White’s MXT, I was detecting Lonesome Arch for the first time, and my first trip there since about 1956. I thought I was pretty far off the beaten path when a red pickup drove up and a guy got out and walked toward me. I was expecting him to yell at me. Instead, he said “Having any luck?”

My first encounter with Oregon Gregg and the dogs.

Wow, just look at what's transpired since that meeting. You met Oregon Gregg, his 4-legged companions, and since then you've enjoyed the company of a lot of great people who frequent these Forums, and also participate in the WTHO's. You've made it to several Outings, finding that 1863 Seated Liberty 10¢ three years ago on the WTHO in Lonesome Arch. And while the MXT Pro's a good detector for general-purpose hunting, you've sure advanced your detector group to include some more versatile and more featured/advanced models.

We still have those older sites to hunt here in our state and I hope you can make it over this direction again for all of us to put in more hunt time. If we do it before the weedy grasses start to grow, it would be good. Lone Tree is pretty clean right now, and when Gregg made it up there a couple of weeks ago, Lonesome Arch was more inviting that it has been the last few years.

I wish there were some older and productive sites over your direction.

Smaller number of people over here, giving us more elbow room.

Monte

Stay Tuned??? I did that once. All I got was 'snow' or a bunch of colorful lines and a loud noise. N/T
