White's XL Pro is a so-called 4-Filter detector that generally requires a moderate to fast sweep speed.

When the Signal Balance is set near the ▼ 'Preset' mark or possibly even a little higher, the XL Pro can be swept at a slightly slower-than-normal sweep speed. However, Yes, it is forgiving for those who rely on a brisk to a too-brisk sweep.

I just caution anyone from using a faster-paced sweep speed as it can have a negative impact on performance, plus be fatiguing, and cause people to move their feet faster and not sufficiently overlap the search coil sweeps.
