hi rich!
yeah the teknetics "coin computers" i never owned one, but they were outstanding too, if a little heavy if i recall.i still think whitey had the most accurate meter though! the xl pro in particular was a "jewel" it was some 'deep!"it was "horsesh8t" in trash,UNLESS it had a "black max" on board, and even then, the signal balance had to be played with to get the best out of it in the junk.
started in '77 with a high frequency (t.r.) (100 kHz) white's 4db and found lots practically on top of the ground. had a compass judge 6 100 kHz. terrific detector for early on. i have just about come full circle with the very nice analog tesoro "mojave" love the modulation on deeper hits.reminds me of the 4db with the way it hits on coins.
