Actually, for those in the Gold Coin Club or those striving to join it leaves us with the "How Come?" quesions..

August 07, 2020 11:27AM avatar
You know, things like:

How come ...
... it took me so long to find a gold coin?

... it's taking so long and I haven't found a second?

... other people find them and I haven't?

... I can't find the right kinds of places to hunt?

... I've been hunting old sites with gold coin potential but haven't managed to get my coil over one. I wonder why?

... other people find them and I don't? Do I have a bad detector, am I doing something wrong, or am I just jinxed?

Of course what we should do is not even dwell on any of these thoughts. We should just think positive, keep our discrimination low, and get out detecting as often as we can to old–use sites, and not rely on Rock Solid lock-on Target ID. Recover more of the questionable and iffy signals and just think positive about our efforts regardless of what might be found.
