My favorite Western is still True Grit with John Wayne, Glen Campbell and Kim Darby, Robert Duvall, and more. The Cowboys, The Magnificent Seven. Paint Your Wagon. I could go on.
A few newer Westerns, Pale Rider with Clint Eastwood, Silverado with an all star cast, 3:10 to Yuma.
What's this about no good recent movies? Everybody has different tastes, I would typically see 1 movie a week. Some I looked forward to the openings, other times, it was hard to find a good one.
How about the mission impossible series? Or the latest James Bond shows with Daniel Craig? Gran Torino is a great show. No? Lord of the Rings? Dragons, treasure, dwarves, wizards. Gladiator? Wonder Woman? Don't tell me you didn't see Wonder Woman. Pirates of the Caribbean? No? Lots of treasure in that one. Castaway? You'd love that one, airplane crashes in the ocean. How about National Treasure? The epic treasure hunt. Come on here. Star Wars? Rogue One? Star Trek? Bridge of Spies? True story there.
Maybe need a good laugh, how about Shrek? He's everybody's favorite Ogre. Dunkirk, Hacksaw Ridge, Enemy at the Gate, and Fury, Band Of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, all about WWII. If you've missed all of those at least see Saving Private Ryan.
There are so many amazing stories out there.
