Hi Monte, I'm glad you are schooled in the "old school" Me ....I'm just a newb with my tectin' edimication..I like the old analog technology especially White's and Tesoro models.I am learning every day. Here is my White's arsenal..In chronological order: 5900 CB, 6000 Pro XL. XLT, IDX Pro (Bill's Mod.) and last is the MX5, definitely hard to pick one out as best, because they are all good at what they do.

Randy, you have a good outfit. I know I am still making some adjustments, and probably get picked on if I was to mention some of the things I've been tempted to thin-out or replace them with. Since it is a White's Forum I'll just limit my two current White's models, as noted in my signature below, they are the XLT and MX-7. That latter unit you know about.
Both of them fit my wants and needs for different types of applications, and both are equipped with their own 6½" Concentric coil to tackle the tasks at-hand. The only one you have listed that I sort-of wish I had is the 6000 Pro XL or the renamed XL Pro, but I know it would see minimal use because health issues are demanding I favor the smaller, lighter-weight and more comfortable detectors. The XLT, however, is special so I'll make that exception.
