If you picked up one of the better Classic models, good move.

You mentioned you have quite a few extra coils, so that will be good if it's one of the better models. And what do I mean by *better* in the Classic series?

That would be any of the models that use the Blue Max series search coils. Of the early Coinmaster Classic, it would be the Classic 3 Plus. Of the SL series, that use the slide-in AA battery tray, it would be the Classic 3 SL, Classic ID, Classic idx and the IDX Pro.

The Classic 2 uses the old style coil and not the Blue Max series. What's also offered some odd variants a couple of times that did not share the coils.

It's good to know you picked up one of their best circuitry designs.

Some of what they have offered for quite a while now should have been MIA.
