I don't have any of the detech coils for it but i do have the 5.3 the 6x9 and the 9" spider coil. How do they compare to the detech coils?
In the past I always used the 5.3 and 9" Spider coil, both are great coils. The 6x9 I skipped as it seemed to make the machine nose heavy.
I like the detect coils for working areas not littered with iron and rusted tin. For that, they do a great job ( they will handle some). If I was going to tackle tougher areas that contained nails, rusted tin etc, the 5.3 is a good coil for that. Since you already have the 5.3 & 9" Spider, heck I would just use those.
Although the 7" detect fits a sweet spot, as it's not too big, nor is it too small, kinda just right for working the fringe areas of the old sites I hit. Works great for working in and around sagebrush etc and still get decent coverage.
