Re: You had a great day working those places.thumbs up

It was a good day, Monte. Thank you for the comments. Even here in the greater PDX area, it's not easy. Many schools are going cashless and while i rarely ever see another detectorist, there is clearly competition out there based upon how void some areas are and how void some areas are for high conductors. Just happened to find one urban school that probably had not been hunted due to older, deeper targets i was finding.

I've tried both the concentric and DD in the playgrounds, and thus far, i like the DD. I'll give the concentric a few more tries and may bury a few hard to detect targets to see how they behave real world. I find that the concentric hasn't been as successful finding some small gold or chains that it passes over based upon how it 'sees' the target when using air tests. When i'm hunting these locations, i'm focused on gold/silver with coins a byproduct. I may try all metal mode with both coils to see if i may be able to find some chains i'm missing using coin/jewelry disc mode - even with a negative disc setting.

Going to take a swim with the sport early fall when the swim crowd leaves and see if i can find some lost goodies at 2 holes that attract large crowds. Should be interesting to open up another avenue that few coils go over.

Best to you,
Brian
